@xxCrazyEights88xx No worries, it appears I was mistaken as well, that was the last Nascar race to date to go caution free. Guess I should do my homework before posting from now on. I agree, they should have waved off the start and let JJ come down and make repairs. If that would have happened to Sr. or Jr. you can rest assured they would have waved of the start and let them make the repairs. Even if he had to start in the back I would have been fine with that. Could have been a rookie champ!

@gracethedog48 yeah I may have mistaken. Still I dont agree why they couldn't wave off the start. And this race did end up going caution free because I remember waiting for a caution and it never came.

@xxCrazyEights88xx I must disagree, they didn't give JJ the black flag, Chad called him into the pits on his own because they had a tire rub. They gave Mark the black flag and he HAD to come into the pit and check out why his steering locked up. I'm also pretty certain that race didn't go caution free. Without that incident JJ probably has 1 more championship to his credit...he was leading the pts going into that race and after that one his momentum took a huge hit.

I remember when That incedent happened on the pace laps at Talladega with Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson. They gave Jimmie Johnson a black flag AFTER the race went green. The whole race went caution free and Johnson finished laps down. It was Bullshit.
