  • Some people call Frank Sinatra "The Voice", well, Johnny was "The Real Voice".

  • Emile, this is a very moving and touching video. It reminds me of the wonderful days growing up with my family back in the '50s and '60s. They're gone now, but your video takes me back to those days of the shelter and protection of Mom and Dad. Thanks for posting.

  • As always, Emile, this is a favorite. Be well.

  • @lorenzotedesco What a glorious voice---AMAZING!

  • the bridges of madison county

  • Can someone PLEASE tell me what album this song is on. I can't find it.

    Thanks

  • Johnny Hartman never was recognized here in the US for his talents - too bad. Because as you can hear he was a true jazz singer. Listen to him and John Coltrane.

  • Gloria Lynne does a rendition of "Folks Who Live On The Hill" as well.

  • Very few, if any, are better than John Hartman, but Peggy Lee does a great rendition of this song you might like to hear.

  • This song makes me cry...so very sad, touching, and heart breaking....

  • @colleenaf7 see my post about the Soundtrack CD (and a subsequent CD) from "The Bridges of Madison County" by Clint Eastwood. Although the original Beehive Records album never came out on CD (the company only issued 25 albums), virtually all of it is contained on the two soundtrack CDs, and Eastwood used the whole tune, not just an edited short clip, for the movie. I found the CDs on line. The follow-up was called something like "More from the Bridges of Madison County". Lucky, I wore the LP out

  • This song came from one of only 25 records released by Beehive Records and was recorded in Evanston, IL, by my friend, recording engineer Benji Kanters. Although the album never came out on CD, most of the tunes were used in their entirety in the movie and are available on the Soundtrack CD (and a subsequent CD) of "Bridges of Madison County" by Clint Eastwood. It is unusual to find entire tunes in a movie soundtrack rather than short clips, but it shows Eastwood's love of music. Go buy them!
