@Summerlandsteam Ah, Brilliant. Thanks for that Chris. It just so happens there is a Dolls House shop literally 200 yards down the road....! :-D

This and your other videos are delightful!! They seriously make me think of getting into 7/8n2!

Love the sound are getting out of the loco. I have a Harvey Watkins 7/8ths modified roundhouse loco that is begging to have a chuffer pipe installed.
thanks for the video

Unfortunately, no I didn't. I did notice it on your stand, but not closely.

Thanks Mark - yes the loger chimney gives it a better tone - the sound slot is about a third of the way up.

Hi Chris. Just out of interest, what is 7/8ths scale equivalent to?
Firrboxfryup 7 months ago
@Firrboxfryup - Hi Jamie - 7/8ths scale is short for 7/8ths inch to the foot, or a scale of 1:13.7 compared with 1:19 for 16mm to the foot scale. All a bit confusing!! In practice this means that 32mm track is about 18" - a gauge used on some estate railways. If you go to the Atlantic Publishers website there is a free digital edition of Garden Railways mag with a nice article on 7/8ths.

@Summerlandsteam Wow, that is confusing! So 18", Bicton Park equivalent! So scale 15" would be smaller. My garden railway I'm hoping to do a 15" style line. All ready have plans for a 15" steam tram engine. :-D
Cheers Chris.

@Firrboxfryup - That's no problem Jamie - 32mm is 15" in 1/12th scale and you can get loads of dolls house stuff to match as that is also 1/12th.
