Contrairement à ce que son my space affichait il y a quelques temps, Soko is not dead.
Elle s'était seulement éloignée de la ferveur parisienne, peut-être un peu suffocante, pour s'installer sous le soleil apaisant de la Californie.
Il y a quelques années, Soko fut la nouvelle révélation pop-folk française : celle sur laquelle on misa beaucoup, celle que son tube "I'll Kill Her" avait fait franchir les frontières, celle que toutes les maisons de disques s'arrachaient pour lui signer son premier album.
Mais Soko préféra la discretion et fit taire l'engouement.
Qu'a t-elle fait pendant tout ce temps ? Elle semble s'être contentée de vivre chaque jour en oubliant tout ce qu'on attendait d'elle.
Et en a profité pour écrire, composer, chanter, jouer, enregistrer, arranger et réarranger.
Soko a pris son temps, pour créer des chansons qui lui ressemblent, sans espoir ni attente.
C'est ainsi que dans quelques mois, vous découvrirez son très bel album" I thought I was an alien." Intime, personnel, touchant, à l'image de la session qu'elle nous a offerte "Treat your woman right"
La preuve que Soko is alive.

i love this woman but i cant find her music ANYWHERE! not even on amazon unless its a single song download (an even then ive only found one). has she released any albums yet that are available in the U.S.?
