Our team (Cataclysmic Malleable Vignette of Fhqwhgads in the Waaaambulance, esquire) in 6.270. Our robot is the one with the flag.

Q: At the end, why were we pointing at the ceiling?

A: In this match, we blamed our loss on the faulty camera system (the camera above the board fell off its support prior to the start of the tournament, but nobody complained because most teams did not use the camera data). Had the camera been working, our robot would have not tried to go for the center (which was already taken) but would have instead gone for the 3 balls on the far side of the table. The major lesson I learned from 6.270 is that you can never trust any abstractions in embedded systems (even though this particular failure was not about the chip on our bot)
