No. There has never been communism in the world, and the only time there was true socialism was in the CCCP 1917-1924. Communism is defined as `utopian society in which all are equal', has no government, and is only attainable through socialism (a state with pro-proletarian policies that gradually dissolves itself as the Revolution covers the world and communism developes). Bourgeois `Democracy' like in European Union and United States cannot work because it is dominated by the bourgeoisie.

North Korea is not perfect but at least the foundations of Socialism are set there. It is my hope that they will become more democratic as well.
