5th Cloud Circle - SunGard Availability Services - Presentation - Perry Wald - Part 3

With over 17 years experience of in-depth technical IT design as well as IT consultancy, Perry has spent much of his career in customer-facing roles, feeding knowledge back into development teams.

Perry joined SunGard in 2009 2008 and during this time he has been very closely involved in the design and development of SunGard's private IaaS services, and is currently developing SunGard's new managed services portfolio.

Prior to joining SunGard, Perry worked as a Consultant, helping customers develop their own technology propositions, with a focus on high availability and business continuity. He has worked with many large organisations in retail, banking, manufacture and transport and has blended knowledge from all areas of technology, including storage, systems, networking and virtualisation.

His experience to date has allowed him to interact with technical, operational, and business- focussed teams. His expertise is grounded in networking and communications, coming from a communications chip design background, enabling him to take a holistic view of enterprise systems.

In his current role, he runs internal and customer education sessions, sharing his view of where technology is moving, and how it will impact on the business market in general.
