Hey you might have thought that was a bad thing but I thought it was pretty badass myself, well worth it and had it happen to me once in a 79 chevy stepside pickup with a souped up 350. I was under the hood giving it throttle when the stupid piece of shit eldelbrock throttle lever went back farther than what it supposed to, and I couldn't get it back, so the only thing I could do was run back around the truck, get in, and turn the key off! SCARED ME TO DEATH but hey it's a chevy it wont blow.

LOL...the boy graduates in May, could end up getting him something. A west coast car would be a better foundation for certain.
Scott, that one made ME pucker.....what failed to make it hang open like that?

The gas pedal rod got stuck on the plastic surround on the floorboard. We found out that before my dyno runs, thankfully.

Good deal....my oldest son seen this clip, and is giving me hell for not allowing him to take on the '66 the in-laws have(it's too far gone). BTW, this be "Tiresmoke!"

I remember you talking about it. I still see 65, 66 coupes, non SS for cheap.

I thought if the gas feed was stuck on a car like that, it'd rev to 7,000 or close to or at8,000 RPM.

I got it shut off as it passed the 6000 mark. I dunno know how far it would've revved since I didn't have the rev limiter chip in it.
