This clip shows a live Oarfish on the beach at Busselton, Western Australia, November 8 2003. The fish was spotted at dusk on consecutive days. On the second day it beached itself but was returned to the water by onlookers. The fish swam away, apparently unharmed.

  • you people dont realize, when an oarfish is sick or dying (he he he... or sounds like oar) anyway when they are sick or dying they want to see what its like on land, either that or they wanna end on land to show the world they exsits, OR they want to see the sun again for the last time, you cant and should save it if it wants to climb ONTO the bewach let it go, it WANTS to die!

  • @platinum29ROBLOX yeah exactly, just like salmon when they get upper the river.

oarfish gets out of the water(just like a dragon) maybe it leaves eggs on the surfice

  • its like when theyre sick they want help and so they beach themselves waiting for some one to come :(

  • @Hasbo88 why do you think they need humans or you?

they just want to look the sun or something because they are dying

  • It's sad when these things die. They're such beautiful fish...

  • They die when they are near the surface because their insides are made for the deep water. If we went down there, we would be crushed. Deep sea fish have organs that fight back against the pressure, but when they come up here they get like... reverse crushed.

  • Put it back in the water asshole

  • Il get to that beach party one way or the other

  • @dudu15naka Get It To Sea! Fast!

  • @kiwiodoom Does any reality get into that fantasy world that you live in?

  • @LLLeeeeeeeee Lemme make you a scenario:

    Me: WTF IS THAT THING?!?

Guy: FATCHA!!!! DOOSHA MANGA NOOSHY!!! :D

    Me: o.O

Guy: *takes out machete and cleans fish and chops it into pieces*

Me: ........we can eat that thing?

Guy: Uh-huh!! :D *puts into pot of boiling oil for 10 seconds then gives it to me*

Me:..........hey this is pretty damn good O.O

  • @kiwiodoom how the fuck would you know what oarfish taste like? >_<

  • "Fuck off with the rope there buddy, I'm tryna evolve here!!!"

  • Will you hippies stfu and use your head for once in your god damned lives? This fish was dying and like the majority of sea life it beached itself and there's nothing

that we as an entirely different species can do about it because death is a natural process of life and you people will just have to accept that fact because you will go through this process as well.....

But they do taste pretty damn good!

  • @Platypoid They can quite honestly explode... because there's so much less pressure at the surface, their bodies will expand to compensate, and often will die. I saw a video of a group of fish living at 5 miles below the surface.... THAT would be interesting to see brought to the surface!

  • the oar fish or King of Herring are such beautiful creatures, but unfortunetly they are very very rare, and its sad to see that there a very few left now, the fish is one of many mythical creatures that live beacuse they are also know as a dragon and its just sad to see them die because we'll never see them again
