@mmaninjitsu royce never invented anything, I love royce gracie but this is ridiculous, carlson sr's students made most of the revolutions in bjj, guys like de le riva, etc. carlos didn't invent gjj either, helio did, carlos was the first to learn jjj.

@RemainsOfTheUndead had he kept on competing he likely would have been up there,he was definitely elite,1 of the best americans at the time.If you can beat ryron gracie by any method or tactic ,you are elite.

@billysue2 which was the whole point of having him introduce us to Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Anyone, well trained in GJJ, can defeat larger and even advanced opponents as long as they don't know Jiu JItsu. The Gun brought to the fight.

he will never step up to the plate and have a real fight ,thousands do the grappling comps even little kids so what has accomplished matt serra was so right a swimmer that has not beem in the pool

@mmaninjitsu royce was 1 of the worst grapplers out of all the gracies ,he never one anything in grappling.

@billysue2 I've been in judo, bjj, muay thai, and bujinkan ninjitsu for 11 years
I'm not saying he made ti as in the principles, I'm saying he refined the technique
Just like in JJJ most throws were just drag-downs so judo made them refined, same for bjj
I'm a judo based too when it comes to MMA

@mmaninjitsu the omoplata was taught in judo and classical jap jujitsu before helio was even born,never mind royce.In old judo books before ww2 there was a huge amount of groundwork,things that people think wee invented by bjj.Ive been training bjj for nearly 15 yrs by the way so im no hater.

Marc Laimon is impressive but not ELITE impressive. Funny to see you Laimon nuthuggers backing him up. Truth is, he's got a big mouth, bigger than his skills. That's the problem.
For a guy who never won the mundials or world champion, he sure talks a lot of shit about the people that do.
