Kurdistan - Turkey : Kurdish politicians! why turkish surnames?! change them back to kurdish !

Of the 30 million kurds in north Kurdistan (Turkey), you don't find a single kurd without having a turkish surname!!!!!!
This is due to the chauvinistic laws in Turkey. The policy of denying kurdish identity. Unfortunately kurds has long forcebly accepted these turkish surnames. Here is few kurdish politicians who should really go back to their real kurdish surnames. they should stop using turkish names.

In most countries like England, most forigeners that come from Africa and Asia have to change there first name to something that people can speak/pernounce.

When I lived in England, I had 3-4 naboiurs both from Asia and Africa that had to change there first names for when they went to school.

It's not Turkey, its every country in general.

even here in Los angeles in USA, most kurds from turkey have turkish names, they dont have any opression there do they??

and also most kurds in los angeles are from iran, and you can see many of them with persian names too.

i am one of the few kurds with kurdish names, and i am from iraqi occupied kurdistan(slemani).

Turks hate Greeks, Persians, Armenians and Medeans ( Kurds )! I guess they have a problem with civilization in general!

@soranB55 i know what you mean, i hate those names too, but there will be changes soon, you just got to think about everything behind politics. here's an example: kurdish politicians with turkish surname, do they get in to the parliament or whatever you call them easier?yes, because kurds are still hated...last week they dropped some kurdish politicians i think. so i mean, sometimes politics takes over you when you have no power...but still you're right about the kurdish ppl with turgaish names

@Dulcorate117 I'm not fighting anybody..I'm just trying to tell our brothers that you can't be a kurd while your surname is Öztürk !!! Do you know what Öztürk means ?!!! By the way, since you mentioned opression..Even chemical weapons were used in south-Kurdistan. The turkish surnames were imposed on kurds in the north, therefore they should rejected. Can you imagine yourself being Al-Jibouri, Al-Shimmary, Al-Jiheeshi..etc? It is ugly man...greetings

@soranB55 dude you're a bit wrong, it's much harsher to not be able to have your wone culture and not to speak their own language...opression in northern kurdistan was much more butal than south, im from south kurdistan myself, so now stop fighting who was more opressed,everyone was and are opressed...instead unite my brothers:)bji kurdistan!

@nebuckhadnezzar Pathetic?!! You shouldn't be that pathetic and ignorant not to see what opression the kurds has faced in south Kurdistan..Yet no kurd in Iraq ever gave in for arabs. Sure our nation in north Kurdistan suffered heavey opression by the turks. But this is not an excuse to accept injustice. Mr. Ahmet Turk, Osman Beydemir or any ordinary kurd can only send an application to change their names if they wished to. Alas.it seems they are proud of their turkish names.!What a disgrace.
