I tried waterboarding myself once in the shower.. Just lay down and put a towel over your face and let the water come down from the shower head onto your face.. a real freaky feeling... It really does feel like you are drowning, but you aren't.

On second thought, I would not recommend trying it at home.. Unless you had a spotter..

That is not the "same concept" as waterboarding at all. Not at all. If you really think that laying down in the shower with a towel over your face is anything comparable to actual waterboarding, then you have no concept of what waterboarding is. "It really does feel like you are drowning, but you aren.'t" Right, in YOUR case you certainly weren't because you weren't waterboarding yourself; you were just laying down in your shower with a towel over your face.

Next time you want to "waterboard" yourself, stop being a pussy and do it the right way. Have a couple of guys restrain your hands and feet, strap you down to a board so that you cannot move at all, cover your face with saran wrap or a towel (or perhaps a combination of both), press that towel down on your face and pour water directly into your mouth and nostrils...all the while monitoring your breathing so they know how to time it so that you're forced to take water in.

Then have them beat the water out of your lungs by pounding on your chest so they can repeat the whole process all over again for hours at a time. Waterboarding isn't a simulation of drowing. It IS drowning to simulate death, only to pull the person back from death before they drown to perpetuate the torture. CIA agents who volunteered to put themselves through waterboarding demonstrations lasted an average of 14 seconds. Go back to playing in your shower.
