@randy7027 if they were in bf3 and you could drive vehicles in them to get them across the battlefield faster that would rock in real life they do carry vehicles by the way

@damasta940 You can't. This is just a video I downloaded after I played the game. Then I just edited it and recorded it through fraps! :)

@NorthPlum I really wish they would add these to Battlefield 3 that would be awesome. Makes sense if you ask me. Can you transport vehicles with them? are they strong? Any other major mods in PR?

@randy7027 Chinooks are really only any good for large maps, since they are large. PR has 4 km maps, I don't think Battlefield 3 will have maps that large. Though I can't confirm this. In BF2 they only had 2 km maps and I believe this was due to performance issues, that largely mostly everyone could play who had a semi-decent computer.
PR is a modification for BF2. There are other mods out there like Forgotten Hope 2 (WW2 based mod) and AIX, which are quite popular.

does the pilot kit still have a pistol

@ewdennis123 In previous versions prior to 0.956 there were no pilot side arms. But they reintroduced it the latest patch, which is 0.956 in which unfortunately the Chinook is no longer on 'Silent Eagle'.
