  • where can the story he's referring at the begining be found?

    TIA

  • @curiosofsigns What do you mean by 'ancestor simulation'? Would you mind explaining please?

  • The particle wave function is an observation issue. All energy\matter is a wave. We view it as a particle. Oxygen+hydrogen is viewed as water. Blue+yellow=green. This union of one with the other is the basic principal at work here.

  • I like Nick Bostrom's idea that the particle / wave split in quantum theory is resemblant of how 3D computer games use pixels and vectors. And that's circumstantial evidence that we live inside an ancestor simulation. And that's reason to be cheerful because it means we don't always destroy ourselves in the process of becoming technologically advanced enough to run these ancestor simulations.

  • you still can't cut open their bones and look at the marrow though

  • zizek would be interested to know that you can now cut open peoples bodies on computer games and see the bones and guts
