i still use mine, i had the cowon people update it for me (they do free service here in Korea). Some of my students have the p5 and p2, its the newer version. its still a good machine, and no, it DOES NOT fit into a pocket.

the background image thing, yes, only on the openi9ng screen though for some reason.

Can u set a back ground image? will it fit in your pocket?

It is a little big for a pocket.

The screen is 5" diagonally and it is about an inch thick.

I got the p5 today. It's got the windows CE 5.0 operating system. While a lot of the menu options are in english, a lot of the windows setting options are in korean. I obviously got the korean version, how can I change this and will can I use the Q5 firmware? Also will I lose some features with the firmware update if I can indeed use the Q5 firmware?

sry, dunno. i just watch some mp4 files on it. i lost interest in all of that ages ago. maybe writing cowon?!

im not reviewing anything. i just have this and an ipod touch now. im not a blog, i just did a review for this when i got it, there wasnt info on it. i just shows on it.

Hmm seems its $330 now and they dont charge you 60 bucks extra for podcasts, mp4's, and hi def. Archos just nickles and dimes you and their customer service is garbage. Not to mention the Archos 5 is about as durable as a chicken egg.

that thing is basicaly a umpc, it runs windows ce, and has a stardard usb connector, but its way too expensive. I would reccomend buying the archos 5 before this, you get the internet, and its cheaper. (and thinner, more memory, looks better, its flash capabilities are better, and its a internet tv.... all for just $349..... so much better, but the cowon q5 is still appreciable
