In 1983 a civil war broke out in Sri Lanka between the Tamil minority and the Sinhalese majority. Now after almost 20 years, the war is finally drawing to a close. Sri Lanka is my home country and I feel I have an obligation to help educate and inform people to the history and recent events of the conflict. In particular is a analysis on the singer MIA, who has recently rose to fame in the United States and United Kingdom. However many Americans are ignorant of the fact that she is in fact allied with the Sri Lankan Tamil terrorist organization, the Liberated Tigers of Tamil Eelam or LTTE.

I'm sorry, but I do not believe Maya "M.I.A" is a "terrorist". I may not know everything that happened in Sri Lanka, but M.I.A does not support/promote terrorism or "killing people". There may be images of Tamil Tigers present, but that doesn't mean she supports them. Besides, she has worked hard to find aid for the Tamil People, even asking celebrities like Oprah. One thing that M.I.A wanted to do the most as a musician is to spread the idea of what happened in Sri Lanka, not promote LTTE.

terrorist.That sounds like oppression and nazist to me.There are F.E.M.A. camps already set up across the country ready to arrest whoever is ready to revolt against oppression.

@kaliyuta USA did it too during the civil war. They would arrest those who expressed opinions that were sympathetic to the confederates, and labeled all those who opposed them as secessionists. I'm not saying it's right, but during times of emergency like that, we observe these rather oppressive measures taken in order to preserve the union.
