Steven Spielberg often gets unfairly criticized for the ending of A.I. Artificial Intelligence when in reality it was always Stanley Kubrick's intention to end the film where Spielberg took it.

I hate to admit, if the ending stopped where David and Teddy was.... it would have been very sad. At least David got to spend time with his Mummmie one last time

@Jaiyeson im sorry that you're to god damn stupid to realize they were robots. The film gives hints from the very beginning that ROBOTS WILL OUT LIVE HUMANS. Spielberg isn't gonna hold you BABY HAND and tell you "OH LOOK EVOLVED ROBOTS OK NOW YOU NO STUPID".. Cmon man, THINK, dont be a mindless drone.. THINK!

@DanielAvelan Same here. I figured they were robots and not aliens, they looked "mechanical" and not "Alien-like"

@Jaiyeson Really, you thought they were aliens. I kinda figured they were AI because they looked and "acted" like futuristic robots. And that one robot explained to David what happened. Maybe you weren't the only one that thought it sucked and then changed their mind after watching this. I thought it was a great film.

until I saw this right now I thought they were aliens all this time. Thats why I thought the ending sucked all this time. If the explained they were advanced robots it would have made sense to me
