My new solar power box which far surpasses my previous model. Now with Bluetooth stereo, 20A charge controller and 206 watts worth of PV charging.

  • i`ve seen your post on instructables and you said that you could not fit all the music on it that you `d like, I think that the file system of your HDD is FAT, you can convert your drive to a new file system if your sony car stereo accepts that. that might help you.

thanks for sharing btw because i`m currenlty gathering parts to make one too.

  • @rdeb1210 Thanks for the comment, unfortunately the file limit is a limitation of the stereo itself, it's only capable of recognising a maximum of 128 folders (albums) with a maximim of 500 files (tracks) per folder, the hdd came factory formatted as ntfs but the stereo couldn't recognise it. Instead of loading individual albums onto it I had to sort the folders into artists and is my current solution to this problem. Thanks.

  • Not a big fan of using wood encloses for electrical installation but you did a great job.

  • @electrodacus Thanks :) Im currently working on an SSC P7 projector modification as achieved in the lumenlab forum you posted in, with 2 projectors and 4 P7's :)

  • @TorchwoodElectrics what are shunts lol sorry if it a noob question im in to this kind of stuff tho

  • @48lewi world is so small :)

I have some videos of the projectors on my channel but you probably already know.

  • what applications do you use it for?

  • @tongueboy500 Thanks! It's just a 'cheapo' 600 watt 1200 watt surge modified sine wave inverter, I only use it as a last resort as I try to use 12v whenever I can. The charge controller is a simple bulk charge on/off state charger, no fancy MPPT and opened the case to interface the front panel led bargraph display.
