A Miss Earth Scotland contestant is asking workforces across Scotland to dress green for a day to raise money for charity.
Law student Priya Kharbanda, who has won the title of Miss Earth Glasgow, is encouraging work places to hold a Green Dress Down Day to raise money for Friends of the Earth Scotland.
The environmental beauty pageant contestant is asking employees across Scotland to pay £1 to dress green for a day - either literally, or by wearing vintage, second hand or ethically made clothes. The money raised would be used to fund campaigns protecting the environment in Scotland and around the world.
The Green Dress Down Days are to be held in November as part of Friends of the Earth Scotland¹s first ever fundraising month, called Your Planet Our Passion. Other activities include a green fashion show and a schools fundraising programme.
