  • Did this appear on TV or one of the DVDs?

  • Season 1 DVD.

  • ahh these plasters over the good stuff! depending on the year this actual episode was made, i'd say the original logo for columbia had to be either the preztel, the sunburst or the torch lady.

  • In 1975 (when the 1st season of The Jeffersons was made) T.A.T. or NRW had nothing to do with Columbia, later T.A.T. would became Embassy Television, and then Embasy was bought by Coca-Cola Telecommunications, and Coca-Cola Telecommunications was bought by Columbia Pictures Television in the late 80's, so that's why the Columbia logo appears at the end.

  • @LogicSmash It was T.A.T .

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X CPE was created by the merger of all entertainment units of the Coca-Cola and TriStar Pictures.

  • Anyone know where this fountain is/was? I've always wondered.

  • @LogicSmash

Coke created the Columbia Pictures Entertainment division in early 1988 (from 1986-88, it was known as Columbia/Embassy TV) and merged all their TV holdings into it; Sony would take over this from Coke during 1989. Merv Griffin Enterprises was also a part of C/ETV since December 1986.

  • @vzeu019j That one I remember a very long time ago. I wish they post that old T.A.T logo on youtube.

  • @ir10031981 Or Sony, now....

  • Aaaah, the CBS-TV notice. I notice on this one it's missing the CBS Eye logo in the notice, while on other Norman Lear Shows produced at CBS-TV (i.e. All in the Family, Maude, Good Times, and even the 1st several episodes of One Day at a Time) the eye is present in the notice.
