Metrolink tram 2005 on the Eccles line. The window from the saloon into the driver's cab and through the front windscreen seems specifically designed for visitors from Down Under!

  • A myopic viewpoint that tends to overlook the city comprises a vibrant social, economic, creative & business centre. A strong musical heritage, 2 world renowned orchestras (the Halle and the BBC Philharmonic), radical birthplace of The Guardian, the country's finest repertory theatre in The Royal Echange. And don't get me started on sports! The richest football clubs in the world, and current home of the CL and PL trophies.

Conclusion: you are little more than a certified inbred. Good day!

  • i hate the metrolink, boo to the metrolink in manchester. the shoddiest, most overpriced, overstaffed pile of rubbish I have ever had the displeasure to ride on.... OOH Now we have yellow trams.... pity they are still as bad as the old ones

  • @AnthonyHWilson Trafford Borough, within Manchester, has one of the greatest educational standards in the whole of the UK. You my friend are a disgrace. (and slightly sad)

  • Don't worry about AnthonyHWilson. He scours the internet looking for any video or mention of Manchester he can find in order to slag it off. Not just on youtube but on various forums. The man is clearly mad and we should let him get on with his insane ramblings.

  • that tram sound like our trams midland metro

  • A tad bit like AWS, if the driver passes a red signal, the emergency brakes will kick in. Also fitted with speed limiters, 30mph in centre and 60mph out of city (recently increased from 50 due to new tracks)

  • technically that's the Altrincham line because the Eccles line doesn't start till Cornbrook.

  • What safety devices are there for drivers?
