Muddy Aftermath In Marikina City

Marikina is an award winning city for being the cleanest in the entire Philippine archipelago. On September 26, 2009, flash floods caused by typhoon Ondoy hit the city leaving behind a muddy aftermath.

Ilan sa mga kaibigan ko nabingit sa kamatayan.Kwento ng isa na tiga provident nilangoy pa niya yung bubong ng kabilang bahay dahil lubog 2nd floor nila (check aftermath 3 vid yung table nakasabit sa itaas ng poste ganun kataas level ng tubig). Yung kaibigan ko sa Doña Petra Subd, lubog 3rd floor. Sinakay niya sa batya dalawang anak at nilangoy mas mataas na bahay kinailangan pa niya ihagis yung 2 bata habang may sumasalo sa kabila. Sobra takot niya sa kulay putik na tubig pero yun lang paraan.

hi sir, im jayvee im actually based here in montreal,canada.. when i saw you're video my mind refresh about what happen last september 26,. that time i come back in the philippines to get married,. then all of a sudden a flood rush to all the street corners of marikina,. they actually called it a natural disaster but for me it was a man made disaster,. we actually have a house in twin river subdivision graphite st.,. men original akung marikenyo pro ni minsan d tau binaha ng ganyan kgrabe!!

I agree sir man made yan pero I don't think na organized & planned gaya ng sabi ng iba tungkol sa dams. Man made dahil inubos ang mga puno sa mga bundok, sobrang kaingin, quarrying at di pa nakuntento tinayuan pa ng mga subdivisions. Kung meron lang sana makapal na forest at matabang lupa na sisipsip sa tubig na parang foam hindi sana nagkaganyan. Kaso eroded na ang lupa gawa ng deforestation wala ng pipigil sa tubig kaya posibleng maulit yan tatangayin ng flash flood ang putik galing bundok.

Thanks. The videos are SOOC taken with a Panasonic HDC-HS300s. Scenes were stitched in iMovie '09.

dapat sa backyard ilagay yong mud para pag natuyo pwede kayo mag tanim ng gulay.Kasi pag sa harapan ng bahay nyo ilagay mapaplug ang sewer ng tubig and when the mud dried up babalik yan sa bahay in the form of alikabok so dapat ipunin at ilagay sa paso or sa likod bahay
