Greece battles video: Clashes, firebombs as thousands march in Athens

Thousands of protesters on Thursday took part in an annual demonstration in the capital Athens to commemorate 1973 crackdown on a student uprising by the military dictatorship that ruled Greece from 1967 to 1974. Some 7,000 police - about one for every demonstrator - were monitoring the protest, which comes at the height of a vicious financial crisis that has seen many violent demonstrations.

What I see is, they have all the money and power to combat the masses.They would do what ever it takes to subdue the masses.It wouldnt surprise me if they declared marshall law and start arresting people and keeping them internment camps.I dont believe in anarchy, I believe our founding fathers established the best system to run America.We need to come back to that system that our founding fathers intended for us.(Dont throw out the baby with the bath water) we need to fix what we have.

@RedSkiesAwaitUs As I see it, the time is not ready yet. Thirst of all OWS should be a democratic movement insisting on dialogue. The fact that the dialogue continues to clash with excessive police force just shows the inherently unjust power relations between the people and the top. That will hopefully create more support for the movement. But when the dialogue fail completely, I hope to see the police either chased from the cities or joining the protesters.

SEE THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. GREEK FIGHTERS EVEN HAVE THE SENSE AND INTELLIGENCE TO WEAR PROTECTIVE GEAR AND GAS MASKS AND NOT JUST GET PUSHED OVER BY PARASITES IN UNIFORM WITH BADGE. IT WOULD BE AMAZING TO SEE ONE DAY WHEN THESE GREEKS START BLOWING OFF THE HEADS OF THESE ASSHOLE FASCIST COPS BY USING SNIPER RIFLES ON THEM.
