I really wish there was a master copy of this original cut of the episode. All we got is a 2nd Milli Vanilli-less version currently on DVD, but the original got erased.

I'm curious as to why they changed the koopa kids names from Larry, Morton, Wendy O., Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig to Cheatsy, Bigmouth, Kootie Pie, Hop, Bully, Hip, and Kooky.

They ruined this one on the DVD. When the awful music starts playing, it's just that same stupid generic song that they use to fill in all the music they couldn't get the rights to, so it doesn't even make sense when everybody starts holding their ears and running away. Meh :P
