Yes his voice was of a light tenor, but very pleasant and technically very good.

Nice technique. It was a light voice and lacked Lanza's passion but really enjoyable to listen to.

well, to oreste's defense hehe, he is a light tenor whereas lanza isn't really, so even sound wise, not interpetation wise, lanza would automatically sound more dramatic and passionate. But Oreste made this song portraying a delicate and soft love of sorts, don't know if im making myself understood lol

I liked this movie and Oreste's singing and was always wondering where he came from: was he Spanish or Italian perhaps? Then I learned he was from Malta, fantastic.

I remember he had superb high notes, better than Lanza's, though of course, Lanza had a richer voice.

Hollywood then was just magical!

I agree with you perfectly. 10th May 2008 was the 10th anniversary of Oreste's death. Ten years is an important anniiversay. but nothing was done to commemomerate Oreste...nothing at all!!! And that is a real shame...
