We travel with a group that have the unique chance to spot rare basking sharks, minke whales and a bouncing, swooping, school of common dolphins. Fungie would find them just 'too wild' so it is lucky they stay out here in the ocean.
Then, seeing that the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (www.iwdg.ie) had just been out to the same spot and been delighted to find sharks to tag, added a delightful postscript to the experience. Here is a link to the tagging post at iwdg http://bit.ly/SharkTaggingIreland
The group we tripped with were great fun and you can hear the excitement that was elicited by the whole wild world of the ocean that we went through and with. I thank Mick and Brita for the warm welcome and informative multi-lingual guiding along the way of what is 'everyday' to the fishermen of Dingle Bay but really special to us.

The music was recorded on the 'Seol Le Ceol' Music Cruise ( www.seolleceol.com ) and is played by Con Durham (on pipes), Zena (on fiddle) and Liam (on Flute). I felt it fits the the Island mood so well and if you look carefully you will spot the 'Grievous Angel' in one shot. If you are in Dingle, ask at the Marina Bar about hearing them play for you.
@dolphinjohnhawkins Thank you kindly, a real compliment from such a talented producer as yourself. So many people think of Dingle as the destination rather than a gateway or a base to head to the delights of the West of Dingle. Too much to see and do in one day.
