if you're in chicago you could try Chicagoland hobby on northwest highway by the norwood park metra station. or Grayland station on devon by central across the street from the Edgebrook Metra Station the guy that owns Grayland is Steve he's really nice and works hard to get you your train! got one on layaway for christmas never seen an n model with an operating beacon. this is my first "special" n scale model because i primarily have small diesels except for the kato P42 in the Amtrak phase iv skin

in analog the two will go the same direction no matter which way the facing.
with DCC, as the locos are MUed together in a consist, the direction of travel is set, and the locos will resopnd and act as one.

go to your local hobby shop and order one, bachmann has a all new version that will be released within the next month or so.
four new road numbers, nrw tooling factory installed dcc.
