From the moment Adrian Smith stepped on that stage with Janick Gers and Dave Murray, a legend was born. It may have taken almost a decade for them to get back together again, but I believe in Rock in Rio in 2001, this previewed line-up showed just how much they would tear apart the music scene later. And here we are 10 years later from that concert, and they are still one of THE premier bands, and according to all of them, despite being 'old' they consider no end in sight. Truly Legendary.

i was at this gig....and many other donningtons...but this gig blew me away on the day...and still blows me away now...but its 20 years ago....feck i must be getting old...i remember buying the ticket 4 this....26quid if i remember rightly...not the best line-up...but i went to see 1 band...and 1 band only....mighty maiden
