@SponsoredByNobody He was extremely important. BTW, the irony of the protests on his Christ piece hasn't been grasped yet. I get mad that everyone's talking about his lashing and not what he said about his soul and the suffering he went through. It's a constant struggle re: faith and lifestyle for many yet that's never talked about. Those with agendas on both sides, pick and choose what they want. Both confuse faith with fear. Tell his whole story, include Peter. No one wants to suffer.
Bottom line, if people don't say what they believe, those ideas and feelings get lost. If they are lost often enough, those ideas and feelings never return. - David
That goes for everyone. Did he do a vid on O' Connor opening up St. Vincent's, a hospice and washed suffering asses when NO hospitals would take them? I lived in the Village, if he's b*tching about oppression there, where was not oppressed? I lost too many friends, but this blaming others for our actions and consequences is BS.
Boehner and Cantor have actually done us a service by exposing more people to David Wojnarowicz and his art. It's a terrible shame tho that the Smithsonian caved in to these homophobes who waging the new culture wars.
thank you. we have been trying to find more of David's voice online and this is fantastic. we remember when CLOSE TO THE KNIVES first came out. mindblowing.
