A short video comparing 4 clip on tuners. The Korg AW2, Qwiktune SNARk, Tanglewood TCT1 and Guitarman GM11. The prices vary from £9.99-£29.00. Why does the AW2 cost 3 times more than the GM11? The answer is simple it works properly and has been well designed. You get what you pay for

  • in bright sunlight the backlight is not so important, as long as the battery is good enough to energise the circuits driving the LCD the display will be very clear. On mono displays like the KORG tuner, I think it will be clearer than a color LCD.

  • u have missed the point, but thanks for your precious time watching

  • smart answer!

  • the snark is a great tuner, looks really nice. I couldn't say how long it takes exactly as the power it draws seems to vary between 5-10mA when in use. My best guess would be 20 hours-ish for a panasonic battery that is specified to have a capacity of 220mAH.

  • @MaidenFan24568 I have the snark and i played with a aw in a guitar store - the Snark is cheaper (25) and has both a mic and a vib setting but the vib i find to be inaccurate based on how your holding your instrument

that aw was like 35 in Guitar center

  • Great test. So did you actually pull all the batteries and make sure they were at the same voltage in the test? Other questions I have are: Did they all get to the same V at the same time and how long did it take to get to that point? I agree that lasting longer on a battery is worth paying more but if the snark still goes a year or more with std use then I think I'd be happy with that. If typical use made the battery die in a few months that would get irritating.

    Thanks for the good work

  • So do these tuners like sense the vibration of the guitar strings are they plugged into the guitar ?

  • Hows the backlight when it comes to bright outdoor tuning?

  • I enjoy the amount of work you put into testing these units. Also the production quality is something I enjoy as well, it was a good choice of music to go against the electronics. Great Job!

  • who cares, if the battery runs low replace the battery!!!

  • yes I agree GoGo Tuner TT-1 ROCKS!! look it up. works much better then these other units. I think they are new but I love it. best screen hands down
