A Michigan-based rock outfit whose recorded output may be of some passing interest to readers. They were originally called Dick Wagner & The Frost under which name they released the 45 on Date and Dick Wagner had earlier led the Flint-based Bossmen. (Max Waller / T.R. Black in Fuzz, Acid & Flowers by Vernon Joynson)
The Frost flew into “We Gotta Get Outta This Place” like a V-2 & blew the roof off the building. I witnessed guitar slides and picks that were peeling paint off the walls in a fiery rapidness I had not known possible. The capacity crowd were on their feet, seemed everyone was alive & breathing as one with the sound. The humidity level rose as Wagner slammed his guitar so hard I thought he was going to obliterate it—we were sweating just watching him.
