Gah, this is painful to listen to - far too discordant for my liking. Ah well, I'm sure it'll be very appropriate for certain kinds of soundtracks but I don't think I could ever listen to this simply for enjoyment.

i saw him play this in recital a few years ago -- this recording (i never cared for RCA's sonics) has got nothing on the colors this man can produce. absolutely incredible.
