The project, designed to show 12 volt retailers that vehicles incorporating M.O.S.T. technology are not off limits, drew considerable attention on the event floor in the MERA installation bay.
Paul Pirro told The 12 Volt News "Dealers told me it was very good to see a custom installation incorporated into OEM electronics -- successfully." Pirro continued "Retailers also said the emphasis on plug and play installations had de-emphasized the specialist retailer's strength -- installing high end entertainment and convenience systems along with products designed to improve safety on the road."
Companies contributing to the Mini cooper build included JL audio, Mobile Solutions, Audiovox, Hushmat, Metra, Sirius Satellite Radio, Tsunami, Victory Technologies, MERA, MECP, Studio 318 and The 12 Volt News.
On site for the installation were Jim Hamze (JL), Jay Schreyer (Sirius), Kris Bulla, Paul Pirro and Zach Flynn (Victory Technologies).
The Studio 318 facility in Shreveport, LA was the build site. Staff members John Lomax and Will Tuft captured the event on video.
