Katarina was without equal. The ultimate combination of artistry, grace and athleticism. So beautiful to watch. The ice loved her and it showed.

Katarina Witt is a wonderful skater and an olympic champion, but no one jumps like Yuna Kim. I think Tara Lipinski came close, but she's so tiny and covers little space. After watching all 4 of Witt's performances, I think it's an understatement that Yuna Kim's performances are 'one' of the greatest. There's not much difference in ladies' jumping techniqies, most female skaters jump like Witt.

zedlacredit-yeah me, too. By today's standards not that technically demanding a routine but she still performed well. If Debbie Thomas hadn't fallen, I'm pretty sure she would've gotten the gold over this.

having thought about it I agree with you.People should be nice to each other.I think Witt may be liberal minded.She has no trouble with nudity in the media.I dont think she's homophobic or racist either.

She skated a beautiful tribute to Schindler's List in the 90's.

I think she's probably very nice too.All the years working so hard.I admire her.

Dick Button needs to shut up... the slow section in meant to add in choreography and catch your breath. I'd much rather see Katarina's posing than Debi Thomas' "athletic" Carmen that didn't hold a candle to this masterwork.
