My dobie says I love you and momma he is so sweet!! But a trouble maker he's still a puppy!! He's so sweet I'm pregnant and he knew before I did he kept licking my tummy and then a week later found out I was pregnant :)

We have not been able to teach our two current dobermans to do this at all. So I wish you great luck. Some of them are pron to try speaking, others are not. The dob in the video has passed on now, but he was our second one that could say "I love you." He really loved doing it. We were disappointed to try for months to teach our current ones, only to find that they can't do it at all.

This was out boy too. He died from a heart attack though. Now we have another boy and he can't say "I love you" at all, even though we keep trying to teach him.

Gunner didn't ever have to be bribed with cookies to say "I love you", he just liked to say it, and I do believe he knew the meaning. We once charted the words and phrases he understood, over 100. Many of which he was not taught.
