Good effort but the clean is an explosive exercise and should be used with weight you can only do around 6-8 reps.

I agree with ccampb. This isn't quite a true "dumbbell clean". Clean are explosive movements. This was like a variation, maybe more used for beginners or conditioning. Need to watch and make sure not arching the back with beginners as well though.
