Based on Harlan Coben's international best selling thriller about pediatrician Alexandre Beck who still grieves the murder of his beloved wife Margot Beck eight years earlier. When two bodies are found near the scene of the crime, the police reopen the case and Alex becomes a suspect again. The mystery deepens when Alex receives an anonymous e-mail with a link to a video clip that seems to suggest Margot is somehow still alive and a message to Tell No One.

I don't understand why though, can't Americans learn to read subtitles and appreciate foreign cinema? Instead of always remaking films that were not produced or made in the US

If the film is 10% of what the book is, it will be an amazing movie!

Fincher? You mean the guy who realized the American version of Millenium, by far inferior to the swedish original movie?

Subtitles require complete immersion in the film, and not paying attention to anything else, but at the same time they mean looking down away from the action of the film. Realize most people in movies are teens getting away from home & hanging out. Reading subtitles is hard when they're busy reading texts and checking facebook. Or families watching a dvd while doing other stuff. Subtitles mean parents can't bring their kids to the theater because they'll get bored. All this limits the audience.

Americans don't like subtitles because they have to READ them. Reading today is considered an "elitist" activity not as valuable as watching Fox News or listening to drug-addicted misogynist Rush Limbaugh.

Seriously? James Cameron?!? In that list??

This film is already great. It got incredible reviews (93% on Rotten Tomatoes), it's got great action, great dialogue, and most importantly, it's got heart.

So tell me - honestly - WHY THE WOULD YOU WANT A REMAKE?!? Why do great foreign films ALWAYS have to be remade (resulting in films that can't compare to the original in any way, even though they have a budget 5 times as large)?

    This film already IS outstanding.

By the way, I'm not a 3-D kind of guy, but I thought The Avengers in IMAX 3D was extraordinary. Absolutely breathtaking.

But I don't think you can argue that everything Hollywood churns out is complete garbage. Sure, a lot of what you say is true and there is absolutely no arguing that. Look at what Michael Bay makes. It's ridiculous! People eat that crap up. But then you have guys like James Cameron, David Fincher, Chris Nolan, Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese who make truly great movies.

I guarantee you, if Coben and Fincher got together and produced an American made "Tell No One," it'd be outstanding.

What's wrong with Hollywood is that it's all about the money. Foreign films have to be remade so that Hollywood can have the cash. Film have to be milked by converting them into 3D (looks terrible) and producing sequels until the audience is sick and tired of the series. Ideas are stolen, good scripts get rewrite after rewrite until they become unrecognizable. Why do you think Coben picked Canet to do this movie? Canet had a vision, and he stuck to it. That's how great movies are made.
