@DevosHeineken sorry, this is continued - more options on the best brands of 1911 out there. As far as brands go, I'd definitely go for something top-quality, whether or not you want a classic-looking one or a modern-looking one. Colt is always the best choice, Kimber also makes a good 1911, Smith & Wesson, Wilson Combat (if you're willing to shell out the money), even Springfield Armory makes a great one for a good buy. =) Whatever you pick, have fun looking for one!

@DevosHeineken Hey there! Sorry for the late response, anyway our 1911 is an original Colt; WWI-issue, with WWII-era installed, it's a family gun. But if you're looking to buy a 1911, it's very hard to this day in age what with all the countless brands of 1911s. It all just depends what you're looking for in a gun, do you want a classic looking 1911 like ours? Or do you want some modern? Or maybe a bit of both? If I were you'd, I'd definitely take my time and save some money so I could have-
