Because he loved his Uncle more than his parents. Thats why he came up with the plan to make them seem psychotic. I mean why do you think he smiled when his dad was beating him in public? Because he knew there was no one left to take care of him, besides his uncle. Everything he did was just to make them seem insane and abusive. Smart kid right? Its fantasticaly brilliant and insane at the same time.

this song makes me cry... reminds me of a hard time in my life. i watched that movie "joshua" and looked for that song on the internet... that movie is a masterpiece but so sad and disturbing.

The movie "Joshua" could've easily been a prequel to "American Psycho". The character of Joshua was practically Patrick Bateman at age 10.

Because the song was never released on any album or such and I recorded it with a stereo cable dicertly from my dvd-player. Yet, why complain? Download the song for good quality (this is youtube after all) or buy the movie and record the song yourself.
