You have a good understanding of 19 th century European history and diplomacy, especially with your analysis of Bismarck. I also understand Italy's historical dislike of Austria. However, since Italy joined the Triple Alliance, she should have not broken the treaty and at best remained neutral in the conflict. Finally, don't forget that the France and England did not give Italy all the territories that were promised to Italy after WW1.

you guys probably don't know ,but Italy fought 3 wars of indipendance against Austria.
Italy beat Austria and they could have captured more land if they had gone forward.
That was and always be their land.Italy took back the land that was theirs to begin with.
