I never would have thought about potato chip bags. That is an excellent idea for a beginning artist that needs to pinch pennies for now. I suggest cutting the bag open then washing it with DAWN. Dawn cuts grease so it will clean the bag and get rid of the oil and salt. Even those snack bags you get at the gas station might make a cone or two. Just an idea.

Love the recycling idea! I have kids, so there is always balloons in our house!

Thanks for the video, and the tips on recycling. My husband gave me a huge roll of clear cello, but I think it may be too thick. When I fill the cone and then try to roll the end of it, it is quite stiff and I can't get a tight roll, and then feel like the henna is getting pushed back into that roll and being wasted. So, I think I'm going to let my friends know I need their chips bags. Thanks again!

@charliestitches1 I buy large rolls wholesale. You can buy them in smaller quantities from florists or at party supply stores. In the video I give some other ideas of where to purchase these materials.

Could you use the plastic part of a zip lock bag and cut it into rectangles to use for a henna cone? Please reply!!!

@MsCraftyCritter Yes, you can do that, the only problem is that the plastic baggies do not retain their shape well, and within 10 minutes you've got a ball full of henna, and a tip that is too wide. Used to make my cones that way when I first started.
