Hazrat Abdullah ibn Ma'sud (radi Allahu anhu) also narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallim) said: "On the Day of Qiyamah, the closest to me from among the people will be those who have read the most amount of Durood Shareef". (Tirmidhi)
@azeezok---Salam and Peace!---No, brother. Allah does not say this in His Exalted Quran that by sending darood will save the ummah. The Ummah have to read Al-Quran and follow Its Teachings, only then they will be saved. Because Deen is Al-Quran, not darood only.
Muslims hope that, through the blessings of the Durood and Salaams, Almighty Allah will forgive them of their sins and increase their status in this world and in the Aakirah. The Malaa'ikah hope that Almighty Allah will increase their status.
If we want Allah (swt) to Love us then we should follow prophet Muhammad(pbuh).When Almighty Allah sends Durood and Salaams upon Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), He is actually blessing him. When the Malaa'ikah and the Muslims send Durood and Salaams to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), they are actually showing Almighty Allah their respect for the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim).
As salamu alai kum. We must always send Durood."Those who claim to love and revere the Holy Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim) should increase their recital of the Durood Shareef in patience and perseverance until, through the mercy of Rasoolullah (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Salim), they have the opportunity of witnessing his blessed countenance" Understanding Quraan with the saying of Prophet (sas) with respect to the Ayath or surah is very much needed.
Salam brothers in Islaam! If anyone claims to love The Prophet (S), and runs away from The Quraan, the Prophet(S) brought, his claim of love is false. He is a liar. And for a liar who doesn't know what is Allah's Quraan that the dearest Prophet(S) brought, there is no Shafa'ut. And if he becomes angry at the call towards The Quraan, he is a shirk-doer. Let that liar go and burn the whole world, but Allah has ordered hellfire for him, not shafa'ut.
Two persons are talking. One asks the other. Q: "Do u love your Prophet(S)?" Ans:"Yes, I love my Prophet(S)."---Q: "Do you have Imaan in The Knowledge of The Quraan, your Prophet(S) brought?" Ans:"No, I don't have Imaan in The Knowledge of The Quraan. I have Imaan in the closed Book."--"Don't u know that such a person is a liar, a cheater and a renegade. On The Judgement Day, The Prophet(S) will request Allah to question that liar."
Masha Allah. A great upload.

@azeezok---Salam!
No, this is lie and fabricatoin, and a blasphemy against the Prophet. The Prophet can never say anything which is not in Al-Quran.
Allah ordered us to follow His Exalted Quran, and not only read Darood and hate The Quran.
Brother, think, why Allah sent His Quran?---Yes, read it and make its Verses your Iman, and then follow it.
Indeed, our dearest Prophet himself followed nothing but his Allah's Quran. We also do what dearest Prophet did.
