Has anyone got a clue where i can find the original Mills-Cockell version? I'm very curious as I love this tune since I heard it the first time in the SID 64...

@sikhayar I remember the animated intro to the show too. I still remember vividly hearing the tune as a youngster. Afterwards, every time I heard it on the TV I would get closer to the TV to hear it properly. Tell my brother and sister to shut up.

@WolfandCougar THANK GOD someone besides me remembers that animated opening! I loved it too & can't find it anywhere, so hum it from time to time to preserve it in memory! :)

me too, the first time I hear it was on C64 and my first reaction was... it is done by the same SID chip or they have found a new feature to make it sound like that? :)

I remember this from the TV show. Although I never really bothered to watch the actual episodes, I always loved listening to the theme. I've never been able to find the original version.

wow! I thought I was the only one in the world who knew about this song from the commodore 64 SWINTH program... I thought I would never know what the name of this song was... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING IT! :)

gnomebean, this is not the original version. This is a remix of the C64 SID version.

very soothing piece is there any way to download this?
Ever since I heard the a crude S.I.D. chip version of this on a Commodore 64 demo called "Swinth" (Swish + Synth), I've wanted to hear the original John Mills-Cockell version of "Stationary Ark". I am so curious to hear what it sounds like, because I like the Swinth version and even this version so much.

@dockdrumming The SID was the first version I heard, and its the track that got me into commodore 64 style chiptunes. The only reason I heard it was because it turned up on stumbleupon. Now I do a radio show at my university dedicated to chiptunes.
