The shining. Got that on special edition DVD. Awesome film.

How many adverts for deep fat friars do you see on TV these days?
-
Hehe, I like how they advertise 'in colour' at the end. We all take that for granted these days!
-
The Vidal Sassoon spot is a rarity...the exact one running in both Britain and the United States.
(says this Yank)

The first actress is Patricia ("Pat") Coombs.
-
Anchor Butter is my favourite classic advert.
-
I'll have you know, that "...that fat wanker..." as you charmingly call him, is none other than William Hootkins, who was a pilot in the book office smasheroo called Star Wars no less.
Hmmm?? I know what you mean though; Paul Darrow's smug face says it all.

Hi. That's Pat Coombs, born 1926, died 2002.

I have a feeling that the Anchor Butter ad was seen by the makers of 'Five Go Mad in Dorset' :).
The first lot of ads here (up to the Airlanka ad which, as the related videos confirm, has a bitter irony to it at the moment) are probably from a different source, but those from ESP lipstick onwards are most likely from Saturday 4th October 1980, or very soon afterwards. Do you know which episode of HHoH was being shown?

Hi
They were all from either before, during or after an ITV showing of Hammer's Growing Pains starring Barbara Kellermann, sourced off a low band umatic tape. The player had dirty heads hence the blocky dropout on the picture.
