Thanks johnny for sharing this rare piece, short lived, disco/big band unique sound. here's a little DJ story: I had to lower the volume on this one since the recording was so loud and crisp, a bit like Spank - Jimmy Bo Horne. It could mix well with Charlie Callello - Sing, Sing, Sing... It reminds me the best discotheque nights I've had ! Thanks again for youtubing this orchestration masterpiece.

I first heard this at the most glamourous fashion show I'd ever been to, back in the mid '80s;- the male models in tuxes and the female models in YSL ballgowns! Those things are gone, but the music and memories remains:)

Early 1984 had some really good/funky songs in the UK chart at the same time with great production & instrumentation particularly if you like your big horn sections! There was this classic, 'Breakin' Down'(Sugar Samba) - by Julia & Co, 'Spice of Life' by the Manhattan Transfer, More More More - Carmel & 'Straight Ahead' - Kool & the Gang. One of the most best periods in pop music in my opinion! Such great musicanship just not apparent in much of todays chart music!
