Album recorded 10/28/1970 Kent Record Label

The picture is of the album "Here comes Shuggie Otis"

Shuggie Otis instrumental song originally from the album Cold Shot (The Johnny Otis Show)...this particular recording is taken from the CD called Shuggie Otis plays the blues and has a different arrangement than the album version....no Sugarcane Harris violin playing at the end of the song on the CD.... The CD is made to showcase Shuggie and well it should, he is a master...and he is only age 13 -15 years old in these recordings.

This song is previously unreleased, so we are not sure who, played what, on which song, feel free to inform us if you know anything more about it.

The Band [ The Johnny Otis Show ]

Delmar "Mighty Mouth" Evans - Vocals

Shuggie Otis - Bass & Lead Guitars / Vocals

Thomas Broadway - Bass

Hootie Galvin, Buddy Redd - Drums

Johnny Otis - Arrangements - Drums & Piano

Don "Sugarcane" Harris - Violin

  • RIP Johnny Otis

  • @ratatat666 yes, WC Clark co-wrote Cold Shot with keyboardist Mike Kindred when they played in Triple Threat Revue with SRV and Lou Ann Barton. I lived under a rock, but it rolled

  • Man, this ain't just some generic blues riffin' to another 1-4-5. Tasty, and unique!

  • I think this cut might be on Al Kooper Sessions...it has Al Kooper and Shuggie Otis on the cover. I have the album somewhere. And it ain`t under no motherfuckin` rock!

  • @channellmixer SRV did not any part of cold shot fool! WC Clark wrote SRV's cold shot. Do you live under a rock?

  • @bytoriasnowdoggy Thx for the compliment. Great uppload.Peace
