Pat: "Let's spin the wheel top dollar value is $750 try not to hit bankrupt.....if you do you lose your cash but not your merchandise because one you buy a prize, it's yours to keep."
That's classic. I wish Pat did that again.

While I don't really understand why you guys didn't get to play with the Jackpot wedge (introduced over two months earlier), I can hazard a guess -- none of the episodes go further than three rounds.

@tomxconn I sure wish NBC used the "In Stereo Where Available" logo starting in 1985, or was the show never heard in stereo during the NBC run?

that was the day i was born :D
Did you watch the daytime version when Pat left in 1989 for Rolf.......Rolf I forgot his last name or with Bob Goen when it moved to CBS?

@tpir1972 Rarely watched either, because I was either in class at high school/college, or doing temp jobs. Goen did a decent job, although the show itself was pretty "cheap" as I recall. Rolf Benirschke was a former kicker for the San Diego Chargers. This was a rather.....odd choice by Merv. He tried his best, but he just never looked comfortable hosting the show.

Do you still watch the syndie version of WOF today?

@tpir1972 Just once in awhile, comes on right after local 6p news here. Somehow Vanna touching letters instead of turning them just doesn't seem right

I'm somewhat baffled they were still using the "This problem is in living color" bumper in 1986. 0_o

No, they weren't using that. I just threw that in for fun.
