YASKAWA at Automatica 2012

At Automatica 2012 in Munich, Germany, YASKAWA demonstrated the company's latest innovations in Drives and Motion solutions as well as Robotics and created awareness how both technologies could create synergies:

Multiple robot control enables jigless welding instead of using a traditional work piece positioner. This offers further options for additional processes, automatic handling of the assemblies and levels of unmanned production.

The new FS100 robot controller is an extremely compact and open robot controller delivering fast processing with high energy-saving efficiency.

A demonstration of the energy efficiencies that can be achieved using a MOTOMAN robot by recycling surplus brake energy. This could result in up to 20% savings.

The innovative, humanoid MOTOMAN robot, SmartPal, can be controlled via the internet with the aim to serve society. This robot features sensors and control technology that ensures safe interaction with humans. Through research in such areas, YASKAWA is able to develop technologies that are already beneficial to industry today.
