I made it so it is a comparison of Miroku and Naraku, but it also turned out to be a little bit of a MirokuXKagomeXSango Love triangle, where he is with Sango but has Kagome on the side.
Dealing the cards is many times defined as controling something, playing with some situation or with someone. Which is something Miroku and Naraku both do, but Miroku does it out of necessity. Miroku is a genuinely good guy who is just searching for answers, and his lechery is just him planning for a "probable outcome" that he will die.
One day when he tells Kagome he loves her, she just laughs it off because he is with Sango but he acts somewhat cold to her. In the end Miroku is just Miroku.
This song has a lot of symbols and double entendres so I thought I would point out some :D
Jack of diamonds....some guy that seems to always have all the luck
Queen of spades...a lady that was the cause of an inner war to him. I also Took the word "Lay" as a double entendre
"He may conceal a king in his hand, while the memory of it fades" This could be a Religious Reference to Proverbs 25:2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter.
Naraku's intentions were to be a God and King. But now, even their memories fade....
"He may lay the queen of spades" is a reference to the Alexander Pushkin fictional short story, "Queen of Spades".
I hardly ever see tributes to Miroku and you did such a great job with this! Lovely editing! Very glorious work <3
