  • I really are interested in this but im not sure that I understand what this guy is saying :/ Im not a computer nerd so Dont know much about them im just trying to learn so that when I buy anouther laptop I dont make the wrong choice. Are bits al linked down to the processor then?

  • @A1D4N1000 today you do not really have a choice as much, all hardware is 64bit for the most part. However with software it depends on what you want to do. If you buy 64bit Windows all your 32bit programs (which you likely have) will run on WoW64 which is a 32 bit layer in 64bit Windows. If on Linux it depends on the distro. If on Mac OSX defaults to 32 but can boot into 64 or will use address extension. Bottom line, not much to worry about today's computers have the options.

  • verbosity

  • @visionisscary yes i do tend to go on and on.

  • @mrbit10 I think you did an EXCELLENT job! Verbosity? I think not because it afforded me time to digest what you were saying. Especially since I don't know anything. I have seen videos where the person spoke a hundred miles an hour clicking this and that with lightning speed. Verbosity is much much better than ego too. Thanks for sharing Sir.

Now for the software. XP or Vista? I have both; but am on Vissssstttttttaaaaaa right now.

  • @TheWebock thanks very much. I believe i have a few videos on Vista but definitely Vista if the only other choice is XP

  • the difference is 32 bits, DUH ! ! ! !

  • well, i like to give a historical account and reasons why as to just simply have an answer, i feel the whole picture is the answer. but i have new channel mrbit10lib that i now offshoot the historical stuff to make the vids shorter.

  • Thanks for the explanation. So does it have anything to do with the number of computations that a processor can carry out at the same time? or is it just about ram memory addressing and the bandwith of information sent to the ram?

  • @xITheLegendsIx sorry i mean dude.. lol

  • did just say is 32 bit better or not? for gaming like CoD black ops etc...

  • iv always wondered that and i finally looked it and and now it makes so much since thank you

  • @mrbit10 Ahh thanks for that, well at the moment I have a 32 bit laptop with celeron m inside but its quick enough appart from when loading like houndreds of pages into adobe, then it just stopps and the page file usage graph goas through the roof :/,, if 32 bit can handle up to 4gb though would a laptop with 4gb ram not be limiting a 64 bit setup to the same as a 32 bit??

  • are u on crack... you dont stop moving the whole video kinna freaks me out lol

  • @MrFreshouse That depends on what the architecture of your processor is. If it is a Macintosh, then fuck no.
